All-on-4
All-on-4 uses four dental implants per arch. Two are placed at an angle so they anchor in the bone you still have. That means less surgery and a shorter appointment. We recommend it when your bone volume and your bite allow it.

Every strip below is one patient: the smile they walk out with, then the close-up before and after the full-arch work. All of them were treated at the clinic by Dr. Erick Rivera.

They were afraid to take this step too. Today they smile without covering their mouth – and bite into an apple without thinking about it.
Patients treated by Dr. Rivera talk about their dental implant treatment in Costa Rica. Below them are the television interviews where he explains how the surgery works.

These reviews come straight from our Google Business Profile and update on their own. We cannot choose which ones appear and we do not change the wording.
These are the cases we treat every week. In most of them a full-arch implant plan still works, no matter how long you have waited or how bad you think it looks.

All-on-X means a full set of fixed teeth screwed onto titanium implants in your own jaw. The teeth stay in at night. Nothing covers your palate and no adhesive is needed. The X is simply the number of implants your bone can support: four, six or more.
All-on-4 uses four dental implants per arch. Two are placed at an angle so they anchor in the bone you still have. That means less surgery and a shorter appointment. We recommend it when your bone volume and your bite allow it.
All-on-6 uses six implants or more per arch. The chewing force is shared across the jaw instead of resting on four points. You get a stronger bite, better stability and slower bone loss. Most of our full-arch patients choose this option.
A dental implant has three parts. Once you know them you can read any quote properly, and see what a cheaper offer has left out.

The visible tooth. We match its shade and shape to your face.
The connector under the gum. It joins the crown to the implant.
A titanium root. Your bone fuses to it and it carries the bite.
Before and after photos of his own patients, taken at the clinic. None of these are stock images.
The price covers the implants, the sedation, the prosthesis, your medication, six nights of hotel and both airport transfers. Nothing is added once you are in the chair.
Fixed teeth on eight Swiss implants – upper and lower.
Six implants per arch. The load spreads across the jaw and the bite is stronger.
The same eight implants, finished with a solid zirconia arch.
Twelve implants and solid zirconia arches – the strongest option we build.

Every price on this page is the total for the treatment in US dollars, not a per-arch figure, and it is confirmed in writing once Dr. Rivera has reviewed your scan. Cases that need bone grafting are quoted separately.
One premium, safety-first package for the whole smile. Everything below is inside the price we put in writing.
IV Surgical Recovery Protocol™included at no extra cost
We only give you a price after Dr. Rivera has reviewed your scan. Once it is in writing, it does not change while you travel.
Patients fly to San José because the same work – both arches, upper and lower – is quoted at two to three times the price in the United States and Canada. Below is what a private practice there typically charges, next to our all-included price.
The US and Canada figures are the ranges private practices there commonly publish for both arches. They are not quotes and we cannot speak for another clinic – ask yours for a written price and compare it with ours.
Dr. Erick Rivera has practised in San José for 15 years. He built the clinic around dental implants and reconstruction, the work most practices refer elsewhere. Full-arch rehabilitation with All-on-4 and All-on-6 is what he does most, and he plans every travelling patient's case himself.
He treats patients in Spanish and English. He will also tell you when a simpler treatment would do the job.

We plan the surgery on a 3D CBCT scan and use guided implant surgery.

You get the plan, the number of days and the full price before you book a flight.
The same WhatsApp thread stays open after you fly home.
Most patients fly in from the USA and Canada. Your coordinator plans the whole trip with you before you book a flight, so nothing is left for you to work out on arrival.
Send a few photos of your mouth, and a panoramic X-ray if you have one. WhatsApp is the fastest way, and someone answers at any hour.
A free video call. We go through what is possible, what the treatment involves, and how many days in Costa Rica your case needs.
You receive the treatment plan, the full price, the hotel booking and a day-by-day schedule in writing. Then you book your flight.
A 3D scan on arrival, then surgery and fixed provisional teeth. You rest at the partner hotel a short walk away and come back for your check-ups.
You fly home with fixed teeth. We follow up remotely while the implants integrate, then plan a short second visit for your final prosthesis.
Our partner hotel is a short walk from the clinic, so your surgery day does not end with a taxi across a city you do not know. Your coordinator books it around your treatment dates and you simply confirm.

It depends on your case, so we review your scan before you book anything. Once Dr. Rivera has seen it, the number of days goes into your written plan. You can then book flights and time off knowing the dates will hold.
With teeth. In most full-arch cases we fit a fixed provisional prosthesis during your stay. It is screwed in place, not removable. The definitive prosthesis is fitted once the implants have integrated with the bone, usually after a few months.
We hear this often, and the opinion is usually old and based on a flat X-ray. A 3D CBCT scan shows the bone you actually have. Full-arch techniques are designed to work with reduced bone, using angled implants, longer implants, or grafting only where it is really needed. Send us your scan and you will get a clear yes or no.
Not during the surgery. You are under local anaesthesia, and IV sedation is available if the appointment worries you. Afterwards expect swelling and soreness for a few days, controlled with medication. Most patients tell us it was milder than they expected.
In most cases yes, as long as the condition is controlled. Tell your coordinator your medical history and every medication you take at the virtual consultation, especially blood thinners and bone medication. Dr. Rivera then adapts the plan weeks before you travel.
Yes. Dr. Rivera treats in English and Spanish, and both patient coordinators work in the two languages, from your first WhatsApp message to your follow-ups at home. You will never be asked to sign a form you cannot read.
You keep the same WhatsApp thread. Send a photo and we will tell you whether it is normal healing, something your local dentist can handle, or something we need to see. The second visit for your final prosthesis is planned around your calendar.
Send your X-ray or a few photos of your teeth on WhatsApp. You get a personal answer about which treatment fits your case, what it costs and how to plan the trip – in English or Spanish, with no pressure.
Tell us what is going on. You get an answer the same day and a clear next step. The consultation is free and commits you to nothing.
Your case is with our coordinators and you will hear from us today. If you have photos or an X-ray ready, WhatsApp is the fastest way to send them.
